I am really excited about camp, and in my obsessive searching I stumbled across the following pages of interest to Mary. Look closely, and you'll see one of our favorite counselors in the whole wide world. I felt like brightening a day. 1.25.2003
I decided it was time for an update with some real substance. I took my Spanish exam on Wednesday, I think I did pretty well on it, although I hardly had time to finish the writing part. On Thursday I took Modern World. It was long and hard and I don't know how well I did on it. Then, as some of you may know, I was planning on going on a visit to Clemson, but they got about 6 inches of snow down there and since it'd South Carolina, they aren't really prepared, and the highway was shut down. So Mom and I will go some other time hopefully when it's warmer. So I'm here for the whole five day weekend. I am going to go to the movies with Mary and Kermit, who was one of my counselors at CCT for the past two years. I am really excited about seeing Kermit because I haven't seen her since last summer. Also, I am so happy because yesterday Mom and I went down to the council office to talk to the camping director-lady and she was really nice. I went to turn in my application to be a Junior Counselor and she basically told me that I would get to be one, and I am so excited because it means that I get to spend most of my summer at a place that I absolutely love. Plus, Mary and I applied to do Moonspinners, which we will hopefully get. Unfortuneately, when I was talking to the lady, she basically affirmed the fact that even though Mary and I have gone through some major injustices, our chances of actually getting in aren't affected, and the whole thing is up to some totally random computer, which really pisses me off. Talk about a run-on sentence. 1.24.2003

There was one thing that I forgot to mention about my weekend. I watched the VH1 100 Moments that Rocked TV and was unpleasantly surprised at the number one. It was Bill Clinton playing the saxaphone on The Arsenio Hall Show. Bill Clinton. Playing the saxaphone. On TV. That was the moment that most rocked television. Not the Beatles on Ed Sullivan, not the launching of MTV, not the premiere of American Bandstand, not the first time Michael Jackson ever did the moonwalk. Bill Clinton. I watched all 100 of those moments, not in one sitting, but still, I was interested. I was thinking "Oh, it's gonna be the Beatles on Ed Sullivan," and it was Bill Clinton. Imagine my disgust. Stupid Teflon President. 1.21.2003
Sorry for my lack of updates recently. Exams and puzzles have taken control. On Friday I took my English exam, which was long and boring. I actually worked all two hours, which was annoying. Then I had Chemistry which turned out to be harder than I expected. I worked right up to the bell, and I know that there were a lot that I didn't get. I had a relaxing weekend, mostly chilled out after that grueling week. On Monday I woke up and watched three hours of the Star Trek:The Next Generation marathon on TNN. Then Marie called me and we went to Baja Fresh for lunch and talked for a long time, which I really enjoyed since we haven't really talked in a while. Then we went back to Marie's house so that I could meet Daisy, this adorable Beagle who is staying at their house for a little while. We studied for a little while for our Algebra tests. I went home and started working on this puzzle called "The Adventures of the Jigsaw Jungle" and it's 1000 pieces. I've never done a puzzle all by myself, so I decided that it would be an awesome sense of accomplishment to finish it by myself. Today I had my Algebra 2 with Analysis exam, which I did really well on. I knew almost every single answer, so I feel really confident about it. Tomorrow is my Spanish exam, and I feel pretty good about it, but I still need to study some more. I guess that's it. Hmm, interesting. 1.15.2003
I have a crush on Ricky Nelson. I guess it's his non-threatening good looks. Ahh, why must I be a teenager in love? Sorry about my little absence there, I've had a lot of homework, and since pit has started, my time is even more constrained. I am so excited to finish first semester and get second semester started. I sweat the hobbits. In a serious way. I love them. Like, I am actually attracted to them. This is the worst update ever, but I felt bad that I hadn't updated in so long. 1.09.2003

Ahh, the weekend. A beautiful time. I love that feeling on Friday when you don't have to worry about anything. Ahhh, nice. This post is going to be anachronistic, as Molly would say. Yesterday it was so hard to wake up, and I was so tired all day. I actually said "Thry're not Chinese?" when Molly was talking about these 2 peeps on Firefly who are white. Also, when talking to Molly I said "Smell how smell that good it is." That is how tired I was. And today I forgot my lunch so I'm starving. Blah. This stupid school computer is so messed up, and tht's why this is in two separate posts. Sorry about that. I feel like I'm sedated. This day is so long. I'm in school and I finally had to request that they send me my username and password, and when I saw it I was like "D'oh!!!" Argh. Anyways, it's lunch right now and Molly isn't here because she has Seminar. At least I'm half way done with this stupid evil day. MCPS is evil for making us go to school for two days. I woke up this morning in between cycles, so it was easier to get up. I can't wait for the stupid weekend. Eww. I have to stay after school today to take pictures of the stupid Future Teachers Club.
