Teehee! Computer Apps substitute!!! Woohoo! I am in C.A., and I am supposed to be doing something! Woohoo! Molly is on Mighty Big TV. Meredith is humming a Christmas Carol. I'm sure they will be glad that I mentioned them. I confess, I was the one who started singing the Carol, so I got it in Meredith's head. Meredith should really go to Blogger and get a blog because that would be cool. Last night I had Baja Fresh for dinner and today I get to eat the leftover chips and salsa after school and pit. Woohoo!!! Today would be the perfect day if I didn't have pit at all. Well, I guess I should go and do the classwork or something like that. 2.26.2002
So, today is like, the best day in about a week, not counting the weekends. I went to school, where I had done all of my homework, so no hectic rifling through papers to finish it before class. Then I finished all my homework for tomorrow in English and in Jazz Band, where there were substitutes. Also, instead of having NSL, we went to our counselors, where Molly and I spent the whole time making fun of colleges and universities and other booklets such as "The Top 10 Schools for Hispanic Americans", which has like 1000 white people in it. This afternoon I had no pit, so I got to come home early. Also, it's such a nice day that I can sit here with the window open. That is my definition of a great day. Well, here I am watching Boston Public, and I was thinking that as soon as it gets warmer outside I want to sleep in my backyard as often as I can/my parents will let me. Maybe the next weekend that I am home I'll sleep out there, but I'll have to take practically all the sleeping bags, blankets and sheets I can find, and I'll probably freeze my butt off, but I love sleeping outside. I actually did some homework today and am very proud of myself. On Boston Public tonight, there was a "very special" episode in which the "N" word was discussed. This whole issue makes me really mad, especially the way black people are allowed to use it as a term of endearment, while white people who use it in the same context are racists. Well, I won't go any further, or even start on affirmative action, but I just want to say that Martin Luther King dreamed of a colorblind society. I found this and found it almost as hilarious as Michael McClafferty and the "lead in sixth grade play". 2.24.2002

Okay, I guess I'll post some real substance here after several days of being a blog dedicated to quizzes. Two really cool things happened. First, yesterday I found out that I made Yearbook. I went to school and I was like "I don't know if I made Yearbook or not", and Meredith's like "They announced it yesterday". I'm like "Did I not make it?" and they're like "I don't know, they announced in 3rd period" I'm like "ok". Marie's like "Cindy made it." I was thinking "I didn't make it and they don't want to tell me because two of them are in my third period, so they must have heard it". Well, then before class started I was sitting there doing my hmework and Marie and Molly came in and Marie was chanting "Heidi made Yearbook, Heidi made Yearbook". I was all like "Really?" and Marie was all like "No, I'm just playing a cruel joke on you". So I made it and it's gonna be cool, but then again every person who tried out made it and that kinda makes it a little less special. Oh well. Secondly, this morning the phonerang and I picked it up. Here is our conversation: Me: Hello? Her: Can I speak to Heidi? M: Hi. H: This is Heidi? M: Yeah. H: This is [I forgot her name] from Riverland Girl Scout Council in La Crosse, Wisconsin. Are you still interested in going to Footsteps of the Founders? M: In London? H: Yeah! M: Yeah, I'm very interested! H: Well, we chose you as one of our 12 girls. M: Really? H: Yeah. Then we talked for a few minutes about stuff and she said that a packet of information would come for me at the end of the week. I am really excited because I will get to go here and it looks awesome. 2.21.2002

Hey guys! I'm back! So, yesterday I went skiing and I am really sore today. I had a ton of fun. I went with Mary and the rest of our Girl Scout Troop. The only part that sucked was the fact that there was a lot of ice, which made it kind of annoying to ski. I made some changes. I changed the template and I added a counter for the time until my Learner's Permit, which I am really excited about. I have a lot of Biology homework to do for Wednesday, I want to get it done before tomorrow, or at least a lot of it. The Linkies went away, but I'll try to find them. Ah, Care Bears. I totally remember this show. I remember Samie and Lexie had like all the stuffed animals. Also this is really clear in my mind. I still have stickers that say "Zooberific!" on them and have pictures of all the characters on them. I love my childhood. I love to just get lost in my memories and daydream for hours. The following are shows that I remember very fondly. The Chipmunks, Care Bears, Ducktales, Fraggle Rock, Ghost Busters, Inspector Gadget, Gumby, Muppet Babies, Smurfs, Snorks, and, of course, Zoobilee Zoo. I also remember this show that was like live action adventures of Dumbo. It was like this circus that travelled and they had all these cool performers, but they were animals. I remember watching at Ms. Lynn's house pretty frequently. I remember that all the girls liked the tight-rope walker who was a lion or something. Ah, memories. I must redunsantly say ouch. I have yet again failed to update. So here again are my excuses: Tuesday: I went to school and had four quizzes. Then, after school I had the first pit rehearsal. It was alright. I am very happy with the Brigadoon score, at least what I have seen of it so far. I then came home and did some homework. Then I went to bed, the reason I updated is because my math was really confusing and it took me a while to figure it out. Wednesday: Went to school and did nothing interesting. Went to pit and found out that it was cancelled for Thursday. Mr. Trettel said that he remembered a commitment that he had. Interesting, he said that if any of us had to miss a rehearsal, we were out of the show. Hmmm, seems like he should be out of the show. Well, I am not going to pit on March 19. I refuse. If I'm out of the show, well then that just means that Mr. Trettel is a cold hearted man with no life who wants to make me choose between pit and my learner's permit. Then, I came home and I spent forever doing my yearbook application. It would be really cool if I got in. Molly said that she put in a good word for me. Hopefully it will do me some good. So I got 6 hours of sleep Wednesday night. Here we are today and I had no pit. NICE! Marie is coming over to do the English study questions with me. 2.11.2002
Ouch. I haven't updated since the seventh. Well, time for me to make excuses. Here we go, but first, I hate that STUPID (insert cuss here)ING BRITNEY SPEARS PEPSI COMMERCIAL!!!! What is the problem with people? Do they really think that someone who sings songs entitled "I'm a Slave For You" is attractive? Is love really just about meaningless sex? Gosh, I hope not. That would majorly suck butt. End of tangent. Back to excuses: Friday: School was really long and annoying, then I had to stay after for Bio and Tri-M, then I was locked out of the house and to be little Ms. Impose-on-the-Coyle-family. Gosh, I hate it when Rachel and Adam come in and are like What is Heidi doing sitting in our house reading a book? Oh, well. (I wore my Wil shirt today!) Saturday: I went to my Dad's house. Played Monopoly. Came home and went to bed as early as possible. Didn't even turn my computer on all day. Sunday: Went to the Islamic Education Center and earned the "World of Understanding" IP. Came home and watched some TV, then went to bed, but couldn't get to sleep till like 10:30. So, here we are on monday. School was boring and I have a lot of tedious homework. So, I looked at Mary's website. I saw this article about my Uncle Willie. It says that he is 5'11". That is cool because it means that he is taller then me, but Mary doesn't like it because now our shirts lie. I think it is safe to say that he is not 120 pounds, either. I think the whole thing is a joke, because he got the idea from this. Speaking of my shirt, IT CAME TODAY IN THE MAIL!!! I am so excited!!!! I am so wearing it to school tomorrow! Today we went to see a play. It was Much Ado About Nothing. Some people, who I prefer not to name, because they can follow links to this site, thought the acting was bad. I enjoyed it a lot. I want to read the book The Count of Monte Cristo. Since it is a translation into English, I think that it won't be in olde-timey language. So, today was a half day. I went to school and had what I think were the worst cramps I've ever had. Ever. It was horrible. When the school day was finally over, I came home and watched the Waltons. Then I came upstairs and fixed my tv. It is really ghetto. The cable is held on by Scotch tape. I then came online. Saw Mary's website. I am very flattered. Thanks Mary. Had G.S. meeting. Then came on and watched "WEEEE" Tee-hee. Quote of the day: The episode was Encounter at Farpoint, it was written by Gene Roddenberry and Dorothy C. Fontana. It premiered in the month of October of 1987, although it was in syndication, so I believe that it aired in some areas at the tail end of September. You can't see it, but I am making a motion with my left arm and hand. So today was pretty interesting. Went to school. The wind chill was 6. I mean, 6 degrees. What is up with that? We had an arts assembly. It was cool, except it meant that I had to have Biology for an hour. Barf. This looks interesting. I would like to try it some time. Maybe at a girl scout camping trip? Speaking of which, I applied for a Wider Op to go either here or here. They both look really cool and I hope that I get to go! 2.04.2002
Hey, my people! All two of you! I have not posted since Tuesday, so here is my explanation: Wednesday- I visited Ellicot City. I went with my mom and my Aunt Sonny. I love that city. It is really historic, and it is so quaint. There are some bridges that cross the river, and you look to your side and see a house built over the river. And you know that house was built in like, 1867 or something. There are all these antique shops, which I really like, but my mom spent like 8 hours in just one level of a 4-story building, and I must say, I was done with the whole thing in like an hour. I really like finding old stuff that has to do with my two favorite TV shows, The Waltons and The Dukes of Hazzard, but they didn't really have any of that stuff. I really think I seriously have OCD. I hate touching stuff in antique shops. I mean, I have to go to another store and wash my hands, or I can feel all the grossness on my hands. Anyways, when you are in Ellicott City, you can just smell the history, and I love that. I really love history, I even used to think (and still sometimes do) that it is what I wanted to do with my life. Until certain people, who shall remain Mr. Adams, fouled it all up. Anyways, I went to this shop called I Love Theater and got this really cool Dukes light switch cover plate. Awesome! Thursday- First day of Second Semester, need I say more? I was tired, and my schedule,all though with some low points, is an improvement from last semester. I will give the period, class, rating from 1 to 10, and reason. 1- Spanish 10 I really like the teacher and think my Spanish skills will be much improved. 2- Biology 5 I sit next to Jam, but the teacher is all right. 3- English 9 Friends in the class, hilarious teacher 4- Comp Apps 9 Meredith and Molly are in this class and its not taught by Mr. Jones 5- Lunch, 10 Cool peeps, plus its lunch. 6- NSL 10 Cool peeps, plus Mr. McTamany and not Ms. Moore 7- Jazz Band 9 Cool peeps, minus one point because Mr. Trettel yells a lot 8- Geometry 7 Easy class, nice teacher, but wasteland in regards to friends So there you have it, my schedule. After school, I came home and did homework, went to Price Club and got The Sims Livin' Large, but didn't get to play it because I had to go to Back To School Night. Friday- I had school, then I came home and played my new computer game, and when I was on the internet, all I did was check WWDN. (sorry, I had to fit a link to Wil in there!) Saturday- Went with my Dad and Annie to see The Count of Monte Cristo, which was a very good movie, with a nice Christian message, which I like. I t makes me wanna go get the book from the library. I love seeing movies, and this one was really good. I find that I seem to really like movies about people in history like The Patriot, Stand By Me, or A Knight's Tale. Maybe it has to do with Heath Ledger or Wil. Hmmm.... Then I came home and went to The Golden Bull with my Mom and Louis. I had a hamburger. Sunday- Got up, played The Sims, and went on WWDN. Did some homework. The Patriots won the Superbowl. Good for them. I like when Underdogs win. I also enjoy it when a team with the name Patriots wins. Yeah, I have school pride. You can commence hurling of rotten vegetables........now. So, here we are on Monday. I went to school, came home, read Back Home, watched a Lifetime movie, and baked cookies.
